The joint agenda
The strength of Brainport Eindhoven lies in the collaboration between regional governments, industry and knowledge, and educational institutions. From a joint agenda, we work on the Brainport of tomorrow and, thus, on the future of the Netherlands and Europe.
Innovative strength and good collaboration underpin everything that happens in Brainport Eindhoven. Our joint agenda has more than proved itself in the past. We will, therefore, continue to stick to the key domains in this agenda in the future: technology, talent, and living and working conditions. Technology is not an end in itself but a tool to achieve prosperity and well-being for all.
Technology, talent, living and life in balance
Our innovations can help the Netherlands, Europe and the world move forward, but that is only possible if the region remains accessible, offers affordable housing and creates opportunities for everyone. From our joint agenda, a good balance between the domains of technology, talent, and living conditions is, therefore, our priority. We do not measure success by technological innovations alone but by the prosperity and well-being it generates. That way, everyone benefits.
Collaboration with the government
Brainport Eindhoven plays a crucial role in the technological and economic development of the Netherlands. We also contribute to Dutch and European ambitions in the fields of knowledge, innovation, and the manufacturing industry. As a result, Brainport Eindhoven ensures a long-term sustainable economy. In implementing the Brainport Agenda, the region is working closely with the national government. This is done through periodic consultations with ministers during the Administrative Consultation Brainport and through a joint agenda with the government.
Collaboration within Europe
To advance innovative technology and increase Brainport Eindhoven's international competitiveness, Brainport parties are collaborating with other European regions on various projects.
Brainport Development
Brainport Development is the region's economic development agency. It does not take over the work of companies, knowledge organisations, and governments; rather, it strengthens and supports mutual collaboration. For instance, it helps start-ups and SMEs, ensures that knowledge ends up in the right place, stimulates internationalisation and sustainability, improves cooperation between the goverment and the region, acts as project coordinator and increases the reputation of Brainport Eindhoven. The collaborations thus created, for instance, between start-ups, education, and SMEs, are typical of our region's innovative power. Parties that would otherwise have had difficulty finding each other can now collaborate quickly and easily. This results in a bundled vision, making it easier to hear in The Hague and Brussels.
