Joint agenda and implementation
Based on a joint agenda, companies, educational and knowledge institutions, and governments in Brainport work intensively together to strengthen the region. The starting point is maintaining a good balance between technology, talent, and living and working environments.
Strengthening Brainport through a joint agenda
The joint agenda underlying the region's strengthening is called the Brainport Agenda. This agenda was adopted in 2020 for a four-year period. Together with hundreds of regional representatives, this document formulated how Brainport Eindhoven's economic position can be jointly strengthened in a way that benefits all inhabitants of the region and provides sufficient work and good educational opportunities for all.

Collaboration with the State
In November 2016, Brainport Eindhoven was awarded Mainport Status by the central government, like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, because of the region's great international importance for the Netherlands. At the end of 2021, Cabinet Rutte IV decided to further develop the Mainport Status of the Brainport region. Since 2022, this has been done in a separate and regular consultation between the national government and the region (the Administrative Consultation Brainport) and based on Brainport's Strategic Agenda. Various follow-up agreements, plans and measures have already resulted from this.

Collaboration within Europe
In order to advance innovative technology and increase Brainport Eindhoven's international competitiveness, Brainport parties are working together with other European regions on various projects in a European context.

Brainport Development
The economic development agency Brainport Development works with many partners to strengthen Brainport Eindhoven. As an independent organisation, Brainport Development develops the regional economic strategy. It also develops and realises projects, offers business advice, and promotes Brainport Eindhoven at home and abroad. All activities fall within the Brainport Agenda set by the Brainport Foundation.
