There is a constant growing pressure on the availability of sufficient affordable housing, educational institutes, central amenities and transport systems in the region. It is important that we continue to address these issues, since it has an impact on both the prosperity and wellbeing of all residents in our region. Including the international talents that are comparing the appeal of Brainport Eindhoven with that of competitive regions in the world. That is why it is important that the level of amenities keeps up with the changing demographics and the powerful innovative ecosystem of Brainport Eindhoven. We, as a region, cannot do that alone. We need long-term public investments to be able to build a strong, inclusive, internationally competitive level of amenities, accessible to everyone.
Accessibility is one of the major challenges within Brainport Eindhoven. The pressure on the transport systems is increasing. The economic working locations and the local communities must be easily accessible. This requires a transition of the mobility sector and investments in infrastructure. By cooperating, public authorities, companies and knowledge institutes can support and accelerate these ambitions. Of course, we will look at this mobility challenge from an innovative point of view: developing new solutions with technological know-how.
