In a rapidly growing region, it is important that everyone is able to participate. As an association of socially responsible employers, we bring together businesses, community organisations, local authorities and educational institutions. We bring stakeholders together, share knowledge and, working together, take concrete steps to address social issues in the region. Based on a shared agenda, we are building a socially resilient region.
Brainport voor Elkaar is a regional association of businesses, civil society organisations, local authorities and educational institutions that are working together to build a socially resilient Brainport region. This ensures that everyone who is able and willing can contribute to – and benefit from – economic growth. We identify the challenges facing the region. These include low literacy levels, financial stress, limited access to work, insufficient basic skills or a lack of community cohesion in neighbourhoods. These are barriers that hinder participation, and we are therefore tackling them together.
Employers play a key role in this. They see on a daily basis what is going on with their staff and can identify at an early stage where support is needed. However, these issues require cooperation between all parties in the region. Brainport voor Elkaar brings these parties together. We identify what is already in place and what is needed, connect organisations and drive collaboration. Our mission goes beyond individual projects. We are building a regional movement in which collaboration is the norm and organisations strengthen one another. We develop solutions that are not only effective, but also scalable and sustainable.
We help partners fulfil their roles – whether as social employers, local authorities, educational institutions or community organisations – and bring them together into a single, joint approach.
