Fontys Engineers Meet & Match 2023

Are you a company looking for trainees or graduates? Are you looking for cooperation with Fontys University of Applied Sciences? Would you like to get in touch with 2000 future engineers in one day? And would you like to speed-date with eight to thirteen students of your choice? Or present your company at the company market to more than 2000 students, both mbo and hbo? The cooperation we seek between the mbo and hbo is unique.
 

Goal

The aim of the event is for companies to get in touch with future Engineers to fill an internship or graduation place. Companies and students talk to each other during a physical event. The set-up contains three elements:

1. Speed dates

During a speed date of 20 minutes, a second-, third- or fourth-year student (hbo and/or mbo) and a company enter into a conversation. Prior to the event, both companies and students fill in their own profiles. Companies indicate the type of student they want to talk to. For example, with 2nd-year mechatronics and/or mechanical engineering students. The students indicate with which companies they would like to meet. In this way, companies and students are matched. As a company, you will have a maximum of thirteen speed date interviews per speed date table with students who match your stated preference. The speed dates are planned in advance so that everyone has a personal programme for the day. You can already reserve Tuesday 18 April 2023 in your agenda.

2. Company presentation

The event also offers the opportunity to give a physical presentation of up to 20 minutes to a group of students who choose to be present at the presentation. For this part, students from disciplines such as Technical Business Administration, Applied Natural Sciences and mbo students can also join.

3. Company market

The company market is open to all students. Here you can present your company to more than 2000 students. Just like the company presentations, students from the study programmes Technische Bedrijfskunde, Toegepaste Natuurwetenschappen and mbo students can also join.

For whom

The event is meant for all companies who want to get in touch with students of Fontys Engineering who are looking for a (graduation) internship. Students from years two, three and four of the following programmes will participate in the speed dates and share their CVs:

• Applied Mathematics
• Automotive Engineering
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Mechatronics
• Mechanical Engineering
   

Costs

Participation is subject to costs, as it is not possible to organise such an event without a contribution from the business community. Participation costs 500,- euro (ex VAT).
