Date: November 21, 2024
Time: 10:30 - 18:00
Location: VDL Nedcar, Dr. Hub van Doorneweg 1, 6121 RD Sittard, Limburg
On November 21, 2024, VDL Nedcar in Sittard will host the final event of the Green Transport Delta – Electrification (GTD-E) project. This day will showcase the project’s progress toward establishing a strong battery ecosystem in the Netherlands, supporting the transition to climate-neutral mobility.
About the Project
The GTD-E project positions the Netherlands as a significant player in the European battery supply chain. Dutch companies are leading the way in developing custom battery modules and packs for high-demand sectors like buses, trucks, industrial vehicles, aviation, and shipping. By involving established companies such as VDL, DAF, and Damen Shipyards, as well as innovative startups, GTD-E is advancing practical solutions in battery technology.
Project Highlights
Visitors can learn about and see demonstrations of:
- A flexible, scalable production environment for advanced battery modules (VDL Nedcar).
- A new battery management system aligned with future regulations and featuring a National Battery Passport (NXP).
