Connect - Everybody looks out for one another
A strong social network is important for feeling at home, being able to participate and having people to turn to. Employers and their staff form a key part of this network. By contributing their time, talent, knowledge and resources, they can make a significant difference to community organisations and residents in the region.
Through the ‘Verbindt’ programme, we bring together employers, employees, community organisations, educational institutions and local residents. We are strengthening employer-led volunteering and building connections between locals and newcomers. In this way, we are working towards a region where people meet, help one another and come to understand one another better.
Within ‘Verbindt’, we focus on three areas: matching social supply and demand, sharing and developing knowledge, and strengthening social cohesion.
Through the independent Platform Brainport voor Elkaar, organisations can share their requests for help, activities or ideas for collaboration. Employers and employees can discover how they can contribute their time, knowledge, talent or resources. Where extra support is needed, we help other partners turn an initial meeting into a lasting partnership.
Through buddy programmes, we bring people from different backgrounds together in places where they already meet, such as the workplace, a school, a sports club or a neighbourhood.
Platform Brainport voor Elkaar
The Brainport for Each Other Platform is the independent marketplace for social engagement in the region. Through the platform, we bring together volunteers, employers, employees, community organisations and educational institutions to increase social impact. On the platform, you can discover projects, form partnerships and contribute to a socially robust ecosystem in the region.

Go to PlatformBuddy voor Elkaar
Buddy voor Elkaar is an initiative by ASML in collaboration with Brainport voor Elkaar. Through this programme, we bring residents of the Brainport region and newcomers – such as international knowledge workers, expats, students and refugees – into contact with one another in an accessible way. Under the guidance of a buddy coach, they take part in a series of workshops centred on language, culture, socialising and having fun.

Brainport voor Elkaar dinner
At Brainport voor Elkaar dinners, businesses and community organisations come together. Community organisations present a specific request for help, after which businesses can contribute with expertise, manpower, materials or their network.

Sport brings people together. On Saturday 30 May, the third edition of Brainport Kampioenen took place at the Philips Stadium. It was an afternoon full of sport, fun and creativity for families who could do with a bit of extra relaxation and enjoyment. Thanks to the efforts of 120 employer volunteers from organisations across the Brainport region, families enjoyed football clinics, workshops, obstacle courses and, above all, a really enjoyable day.
Brainport Kampioenen is an initiative of ASML and Eindhoven City Council, with support from Brainport voor Elkaar.
