Student team InMotion introduces groundbreaking 'Electric Refueling' technology
With the conviction that electric mobility is the future, we recognize that current 'fast charging' falls short in terms of speed. To address this limitation, we are actively developing a revolutionary technology called 'Electric Refueling'. With this technology we want to make electric charging times equal to the time it takes to refuel a petrol car.
Thanks to our groundbreaking battery cooling technology, we have achieved an astonishing charging time of just 3:56 minutes! This breakthrough not only shows that charging times no longer have to be an obstacle, but also accelerates the energy transition in the automotive industry! Our vision is to demonstrate Electric Refueling under the toughest racing conditions, namely endurance racing, where our ultimate dream is to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. We believe if our technology works here, it can work anywhere!
Our team currently consists of 17 full-timers who took a gap year to work on the project full-time, and 12 part-timers. Our main goal for this year is to test and demonstrate the performance of the Next Generation Battery Pack that was presented last year. For next summer we are planning a big event where we will do a 1 hour demo.
We will take you through the organization of this event and show you the ups and downs we go through, so stay informed!
