The Brainport region is growing and changing at a rapid pace. This offers plenty of opportunities, but also presents us with shared challenges. How do we ensure that every child and young person in our region has the chance to develop to their full potential? And what does this require of childcare providers, the education sector, professionals, employers, public authorities and other partners in the region?
The ‘Grenzeloos Goed Opgroeien 2026’ conference focuses on the power of diversity. Different languages, cultures and backgrounds make our region richer, more innovative and more resilient. When we truly engage with one another, remain curious and learn together, we create an environment in which everyone is given the space to develop.
The Regional Implementation Agenda ‘Working Together towards Boundless Quality Education for All Children’ forms the central theme of ‘Growing Up Boundlessly Well 2026’. During the conference, we will put the ambitions set out in this implementation agenda into practice: from a good start and intake to development and progression, from the professional who makes a difference every day to collaboration in practice.
The conference programme has also been structured along these lines. Each session is linked to one of the four programme themes:
Theme 1 – Start & Intake
About a promising start, accessibility, language, multilingualism and finding your place in the region.
Theme 2 – Education & Progression
Focusing on learning and development, talent development and smooth transitions within professional and educational careers.
Theme 3 – The Professional
Focusing on the knowledge, skills and support that professionals need in an increasingly international and diverse region.
Theme 4 – Working in Practice
Focusing on collaboration, inclusion, innovation and solutions that make a difference in the day-to-day practice of the Brainport region.
During the sessions, professionals, researchers and regional partners will share knowledge, experiences and inspiring examples, and we will work together. What is already working? Where are the sticking points? What can we learn from one another? And what is needed to take the next step together?
In this way, ‘Growing Up Boundlessly Well’ is not just a conference about the development of our region, but above all a place where we can drive that development forward together.

This year, the ‘Grenzeloos Goed Opgroeien’ conference has undergone a name change. With ‘Grenzeloos Goed Opgroeien’, we emphasise the importance of a strong, continuous developmental pathway, in which childcare and education work closely together to ensure equal opportunities, development and well-being for every child. Because growing up well requires connection: between professionals, organisations and the worlds of children and families.
