Attracting and retaining international talent
In the Brainport region, we are working on innovations that address major societal challenges. To continue innovating, we need a diverse and specialised workforce. Due to fluctuating demand in the labour market and the need for specialist knowledge and skills at all levels, it is not always possible to find this talent within the Netherlands. The International Talent Programme is designed to address this.
International talent is essential for strengthening the high-tech and manufacturing sectors. Moreover, these professionals bring diversity to the workplace, which opens up new perspectives and stimulates innovation.
Attracting international talent
At Brainport Development, we help employers attract international talent. But we do so with precision. Thanks to research, data and ongoing discussions with stakeholders, we are gaining an ever-better understanding of the identity of our Brainport region and where the needs lie. We provide employers with knowledge, tools and resources to distinguish themselves internationally and to optimise and accelerate the recruitment process.
Retaining international talent
We also focus on retaining international talent. This includes carefully examining why international students or professionals do or do not stay in the region. Together with educational institutions and employers, we ensure a smooth transition and implement improvements to the business climate.
On this page, you will find the current regional vision on international talent, an overview of programmes and activities related to this theme, and an extensive knowledge base.
