- Regio Deal Brainport Eindhoven
Brainport Eindhoven is a breeding ground for many world-famous inventions and a place where more than a thousand babies are born every year. To underline that each talent in the region matters, the partnership Brainport Eindhoven & PSV pampers tomorrow’s pioneers by offering them a ‘limited edition' bodysuit. In this way the region’s newest residents and future talent feel part of Brainport 'home of pioneers' from day one.
The demand for talent in Brainport Eindhoven continues to be high. That is why the innovative region works on retaining (future) talent in a very special way. The campaign is aimed at making residents aware of the fact that they live in a special, very innovative place. The general message is that children who grow up in Brainport Eindhoven, the home of pioneers, have lots of opportunities to make their dreams come true. Regardless of whether they want to become a professional football player, technician, cook, nurse or designer, possibilities are endless.
The fact that Brainport Eindhoven, or the Southeast of the Dutch Province of Brabant, is an above-average pleasant place to live and work, is also underlined by the outcomes of the regional Monitor of Wellbeing 2021 of the Dutch Central Bureau for Statistics. The strong economic structure of the region is an explanation for this. Employment numbers are high at all levels. Prosperity and well-being are far above average and distance to nature is short.
According to the director of Brainport Development, Paul van Nunen, this does not mean that the region can just sit back and do nothing. “Average grades are good, but that doesn't mean that everyone has a good start and opportunities. We should never should never accept that. With this action, we want to underline that in this region everyone matters.”
“The campaign is obviously not aimed at recruiting or retaining talent directly,” Van Nunen explains. But the demand for talent in the region is high and will only continue to increase.“ Therefore, we want to raise awareness among residents about in what kind of region they live. This is the region where it happens, the home of pioneers, this is where innovations come from, this where innovations come from. When you are born here, that means that you have lots of opportunities. That is what we want to show our residents. Also with a view to their own future, job and educational choices and that of their children."
(Future) parents from the region can request that special limited edition PSV romper via the website. More information at www.brainporteindhoven.com/newbornpioneer
