Avans University of Applied Sciences is joining forces with the Factory of the Future Experience Center on the Brainport Industries Campus. This collaboration opens doors to innovative education and groundbreaking technology. Students dive into the world of digital factories, ERP processes, and Industry 4.0. Thus, they are building not only the factory of the future but also their own. This exceptional mix of theory and practice aims to train a new generation of tech experts.
Avans University of Applied Sciences, known for its focus on co-creation and interdisciplinarity, is taking a big step by partnering with the Factory of the Future Experience Center. The partnership aligns with Avans’ ambition to make education more innovative and practical. It allows students to learn and experiment with the latest technologies and methodologies in a dynamic environment.
According to Doede Okkema of Avans University of Applied Sciences, being part of an ecosystem where companies and educational institutions work together is essential. This partnership allows those involved to share knowledge and work on solutions to digitization issues. Students can work on real projects, such as setting up a demonstrator for the ERP process, giving them valuable hands-on experience. “This way, we ensure students are exposed to the latest technology and the hottest industry issues. In addition, they immediately build a network of industry contacts. Many students graduate or start working after graduation at a company they know through the Brainport Industries Campus.”
The Factory of the Future Experience Center acts as a hub for experiments with Industry 4.0 technologies. Companies in the manufacturing industry are encouraged to use these technologies to improve their productivity. The Center inspires and supports companies that want to start digitizing and improve the industry’s competitiveness.
Avans students are trained to become the new generation of innovators within the manufacturing industry. Through direct cooperation with companies on the Brainport Industries Campus, they gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience. This prepares them for a future in which they can play a key role in the industry’s digital transformation.
