The astronauts of Abacus Theater will be racing their space cruisers around the Maker Faire festival grounds all weekend long. Their spectacular creations and artistic machines come from alien worlds and other times.
E-NABLE is a global community of volunteers who are literally changing lives! Using 3D printers, they make hand and arm prostheses for children with a reduction defect. A system of hinges, rubber bands and strings allows them to open and close their 'robot' hand, so that they can grasp something.
Build your own car and race to the finish line first!
A true Eindhoven Maker Faire classic! Build your own superfast car and see which one flies the fastest through the wooden track. Everyone works on his or her own workbench and afterwards you can take your self-made car home.
Create virtual art together! Industrial Designer Robbe Nagel created this interactive generative installation as his graduation project. Join forces and create your own virtual work of art with the help of the controllers via a computer. Afterwards, of course, you will receive your work of art digitally.
Creative code Maker Marco and composer Martijn love to experiment. They joined forces and built the interactive, acoustic music machine. Are you musical or do you think you're not? That doesn't matter, because in the Sound Garden everyone can make tones. Wave your arms and conduct the instrument or make a drawing to play the tank drums.
Listen carefully, work together and make music!
