Our mission is to make healthcare more personalized by enabling continuous patient monitoring using advanced biosensor technologies. But innovation in biosensing cannot occur in isolation; it thrives on collaboration across sectors, disciplines and even international borders.
SensUs provides the platform that brings these key stakeholders together. At the heart of our team is the international SensUs competition, where student teams design, build and test biosensors to solve real-world healthcare challenges. In addition to the student teams, we engage entrepreneurs, industry, researchers, healthcare professionals and patients - each with their unique insights and perspectives to form a powerful global network.
This network exists because we believe innovation is a collaborative effort. By supporting and inspiring each other, we grow - not just as engineers and entrepreneurs, but more importantly as people.
At the core of this network is a team of highly motivated students - supported by our founder and mentor, Professor Menno Prins, a pioneer in biosensing and Professor of Molecular Biosensing for Medical Diagnostics at Eindhoven University of Technology.
Organizing the SensUs competition is a year-round commitment led by students alongside our studies. We manage every stage, from engaging industry partners and attracting international teams, to ensuring academic support and promoting the value of biosensing.
This hands-on environment teaches us what traditional classrooms cannot. Working together in a diverse, interdisciplinary team helps us adapt, communicate and grow across cultures and disciplines. We constantly reflect and improve, whether refining marketing efforts, building partnerships or organizing the event itself.
