Safety & Security
The coming years will see increasing investment in the security domain. The consequences of increasing digital and cybercrime, terrorism -and, since the invasion of Ukraine, also national security-, require targeted efforts in the area of safeguarding national security, further developing the national defence industry and ensuring strategic autonomy in the field of products and/or services deployed for civil security and in conflict areas. In addition, efforts are being made within the security services and Defence to develop and apply products and services of a highly innovative, technological and digital nature.
Four concrete initiatives
In the field of Security, Brainport Development is working on four concrete initiatives:
Brainport Innovation and Technology for Security (BITS)
Cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economy, BOM and Province of North Brabant.
