On 27 and 28 October, the Systems Workforce Summit 2026 in Delft will bring together senior leaders and internationally recognized experts from industry, academia, government and professional organizations. Share knowledge, build international connections and help shape concrete next steps for the systems workforce of tomorrow.

Dates: 27–28 October 2026
Pre-Summit programme: 26 October, from 13:00
Location: Oude Kerk, Delft, the Netherlands

Increasing complexity requires stronger systems capabilities

Digitalization, AI and the growing interconnectedness of technologies are increasing the complexity of the systems we design and develop. This calls for professionals who not only understand individual technologies, but also have the systems competencies to connect and integrate them.

The Systems Workforce Summit focuses on a strategic question: which systems capabilities are needed to address future systems challenges, and how can industry, academia, education, government and professional organizations develop the systems workforce together?

International leaders and experts come together

The Summit brings together an international group of technology leaders, academics and decision-makers. Contributors include Peter Wennink, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Jos Benschop and Arnaud Hubaux (ASML), Sabine Klauke (Airbus), Annika Meijer Henriksson (SAAB Group), Bryan Moser (MIT) and Elisabeth Paté-Cornell (Stanford University).

Experts affiliated with organizations including ESA, NASA, INCOSE and the Digital Twin Consortium will also participate. Together, they bring perspectives from industry, academia, government and professional organizations to address the challenges facing the future systems workforce.
