Quality is rarely negotiable. That is why we carefully organise our production processes to guarantee consistent and reliable quality. At the same time, the market demands ever faster launches of new products. In some cases, high production volumes are even required whilst a product is still in the prototype phase.
How do you deal with this apparent contradiction? How do you produce prototypes in volume? How do you maintain quality standards when the pressure to deliver is constantly increasing? And how do you ensure quality during the NPI phase without slowing down innovation and speed?
