The Biomaterials Hackathon 2026 brings together innovation, entrepreneurship and healthcare at the heart of Brainport Eindhoven. During an intensive 48-hour hackathon, participants work on solutions for real-world healthcare challenges within the field of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). Inspired by Brainport’s entrepreneurial mindset, the event focuses on collaboration, acceleration and creating impact through advanced biomaterials technologies. Participants gain visibility with investors and access to the Smart BioMaterials Consortium, one of Europe’s leading networks in this domain.
What to Expect
Participants collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions at the intersection of technology, healthcare and business. Throughout the programme, they receive hands-on guidance from industry experts, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial PhDs, covering both technological development and market introduction. Alongside building their concepts, participants expand their professional networks and learn how to translate research and technology into scalable, investable solutions. Key focus areas include regenerative medicine, drug delivery systems and personalised implants.
