Education and talent development are indispensable to the strength of Brainport Eindhoven. After all, innovation is not just about technology, but above all about the people who dare to translate ideas into solutions for tomorrow. Dutch Design Week (DDW) shows how important it is to give young talent a platform and how education opens up new perspectives. This is of great value to the Brainport region, where knowledge institutions, companies and creative makers come together to inspire and strengthen each other.

The common thread running through the programmes is the combination of learning, experimenting and presenting. DDW offers students, designers and teachers the opportunity to showcase their work, while policymakers and businesses come into direct contact with the creative energy that is so characteristic of this region. These are moments that reveal how the next generation is designing a sustainable and innovative future.

Three projects that demonstrate this powerfully

Class of '25

Graduating design students from various academic institutions present the Avenue of Fresh Perspectives. It emphasises the importance of education and shows how young designers translate social and technological challenges into new ideas.

Stimuleringsfonds presents Talent

Thanks to support from the Creative Industries Fund NL, emerging designers in design, architecture and digital culture are given the opportunity to further develop their skills and showcase their work to a wide audience.

Huis voor Duurzaam Onderwijs

Via een serious game wordt onderzocht hoe de transitie naar duurzaam onderwijs kan worden vormgegeven. Relevant voor docenten, studenten en beleidsmakers die samen nadenken over de toekomst van leren.

These projects demonstrate that the Brainport region is not only investing in technology, but also in the development of talent. Education and creativity together form the driving force behind a future-proof and inclusive society — and this will be evident during Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
