Overview of activities
Below is an overview of all the activities taking place as part of Brainport Development’s International Talent Program.
Regional value proposition
To strengthen Brainport Eindhoven’s position as a magnet for international talent and companies, we have developed the Regional Value Proposition (RVP) in collaboration with employers—a strategic framework that highlights the region’s unique strengths, opportunities, and vision for the future, and can be used in recruitment. We have compiled a toolkit featuring facts and figures about the region, photos, and useful tools, which employers can use directly in their own recruitment and onboarding processes.
Job portal
Target audience: employers and employees
The job portal brings together all current tech and IT job openings in the region in one place. It is updated daily and therefore provides a very accurate overview of both English- and Dutch-language jobs. This is the perfect starting point for anyone looking for a job in the region. Read here to learn how job portals work and how you can list your job openings on them.
Learning HR Network Scaling Up Talent
Target audience: employers
A content-driven community of employers in the tech and IT sectors dedicated to addressing HR and talent challenges at the regional level. Among other initiatives, we organize events that bring together various employers within the Brainport ecosystem to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration, and to modernize HR systems and practices.
Employer talent hub
Target audience: employers
A single, centralised hub where companies can find all the latest news, tools, events, and relevant research related to international talent issues.
STEAM coach
Target audience: educational institutions and employers
To address gender inequality in STEM education and careers, we are developing a European methodology through STEAM Coach that uses coaching as a strategic intervention to inspire, support, and retain a more diverse talent pool in science and technology.
Homewards
Target audience: employers, international talent, educational and research institutions
A social onboarding program centered on (re)discovering the region together and meeting new people. For everyone who has just arrived or has been living here for years. Friday, March 6, is the opening night, and over the course of three months, you’ll join a diverse group of locals and newcomers to participate in activities, share knowledge, and get to know the city! To learn more about how you can incorporate this into your onboarding and retention programs, check out the website here or contact n.verwiel@brainportdevelopment.nl directly.
Sounding board
Target audience: international talent and other stakeholders
Through Brainport’s International Talent Program, we are constantly developing initiatives to strengthen the region’s ability to attract and retain international talent. To ensure that we effectively involve international talent in this process, we have had a sounding board group since 2022. This group brings together internationals and locals who meet quarterly to exchange ideas and experiences about living, studying, and working in the Brainport region. The group provides input and feedback on initiatives of the International Talent Program, tests new concepts, and contributes to strengthening the region’s inclusivity and appeal to international talent.
International campaigns
Target audience: employers
Based on the international positioning, (online) campaigns are developed to attract talent for the defined key technologies. Participants in the Brainport Partner Fund who attract international talent will receive additional visibility as a result.
Lobby, data and monitoring
Target audience: all stakeholders
Activities focus on coordination and advocacy, with monitoring and data being essential to identify and substantiate needs. The goal is to achieve a balanced labor market with appropriate services and a well-functioning ecosystem. This involves regional, national, and international advocacy and collaboration.
