Current state of facilities and implications of Brainport growth in view

The Brainport region is developing rapidly. This leads to an increased demand for basic facilities such as schools, GPs and shops. To get an initial picture of what is needed to enable the growth also in terms of facilities, the 21 municipalities in Southeast Brabant have carried out an initial inventory. Metropoolregio Eindhoven announced this earlier this week.
The growth in the number of inhabitants in the Brainport Eindhoven region requires extra attention to social facilities, such as schools, shops, sports venues and GPs. Actually, the region did not have a good picture of this so far. To get an initial picture of what is needed to enable growth in the area of facilities as well, the 21 municipalities in Southeast Brabant have carried out an initial inventory. This looked at the extent of existing and needed facilities. This quick scan is an important part of the agreements made in the Beethoven Covenant, it is not an absolute truth but a guideline along which efforts can be shaped.
