Team HMR

Hybrid Maglev Railways (HMR) is developing the next generation of rail transport. Imagine traveling to the nearest train station and enjoying a journey without oscillations or turbulence, while only lasting the time of an equivalent plane flight!

We are a student team at Eindhoven University of Technology and we are designing an electromagnetic system that will allow specialized trains to "fly" over the tracks, while keeping the infrastructure compatible with traditional trains.

Trains contributed to rapid development during the industrial age, and we believe that they will once again be able to revolutionize intercountry travel, reducing reliance on personal vehicles or planes.

Our mission is to break international barriers within the EU by implementing hybrid Maglev train technology, so people will choose to travel by train more readily. We want to make travelling more sustainable and comfortable, while also keeping it realistic and implementable.
