Ambyon ONE wins Brainport preliminary round of the Zorginnovatieprijs 2026

Ambyon ONE has been announced as the winner of the Brainport preliminary round of the Zorginnovatieprijs 2026. The announcement was made on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, by jury chair Kristel Kleijer (Máxima MC). Ambyon’s care robot impressed the jury with its potential to reduce pressure on healthcare staff by taking over logistical tasks.
A regional innovation with national potential
The Brainport preliminary round was organized by Coöperatie Slimmer Leven, in collaboration with Máxima MC and Brainport, and featured six regional innovations. Each team pitched their solution to a four-member jury and an audience of 30 interested professionals.
Ambyon ONE stood out due to its advanced technology inspired by human cognition and powered by 3D vision. The robot can autonomously navigate complex healthcare environments and handle tasks such as transporting medication, lab samples, blood products, medical devices, beds, and meals.
Competing for the national title in April 2026
The final of the Zorginnovatieprijs 2026 will take place on April 15, 2026, during the Zorg & ICT trade fair at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs Utrecht, part of Dutch Health Week. The winner will receive €10,000 from the professional jury, with an additional €5,000 available through the public vote. The award also includes professional support to further develop the winning innovation.
