Manifest for a digitally enabled new way of working
- Digital City
The Urban Planning Reimagined Program is about developing a new way of working, combining integrated spatial planning & digitization. Building on the region’s existing digital backbone, vibrant ecosystem, and disruptive start-ups and research, this program focuses on developing and using digital solutions for integrated, sustainable city planning. At the heart of this transition will be Urban Digital Twinning as a powerful decision support tool. It supports evidence-based decision making and citizen empowerment. Our goal is to build better cities faster together.
At the heart of this transition will be Urban Digital Twinning: creating digital versions of the city that visualizes urban complex interdependencies in a tangible way. Digital Twinning can be used to build different scenarios for future of cities. It enables evidence-based decision making and empowers citizens. It allows us to collaborate effectively and reach better results together.
None of us can solve this complex puzzle alone. We believe we need to co-create this new way of working. This manifest aims to kickstart the necessary societal discussion on "How to develop a digitally enabled new way of working for integrated urban planning?". It offers guidelines for use cases and kick-starts the innovation cycle. The manifest is a living document, it will be updated based on the lessons we learn in the use-cases.
