Subscribe here!We would like to invite you to an Intellectual Property Lectures Session about Intellectual Property (IP) Protection for AI inventions on 26 September from 15.30 to 17.30 pm at the location: Neuron 0.262. At 17.30, drinks and bites for discussions and networking will be provided by us.
In this lecture scientists/academics will attain knowledge and understanding about IP protection of AI inventions which is a theme perceived to be controversial and misunderstood amongst academics. The lecture is designed to impart a better understanding of IP protection for AI inventions which are software-related, and how such AI inventions can benefit industry and society via entrepreneurship and valorisation of TU/e AI intellectual property rights.
IP refers to the output of creative endeavor in any field. IP includes inventions, literary works (including publications), teaching materials, databases, computer software, inventions, designs and know-how or trade secrets, each of which can be protected by law resulting in Intellectual Property Rights. And also protection of AI inventions generated at TU/e via patents, copyrights and other forms of IP protection. The TU/e policy on IP (Intellectual Property) and valorisation of TU/e knowledge is presented on our university website and intranet. To inform you about the dos and don’ts regarding IP, the TU/e IP Managers, part of The Gate (as the Knowledge Transfer Office within TU/e), are organizing the IP series of sessions for all academic staff.
Why should you be interested in creating and protecting IP for AI inventions? The reasons are unique to each researcher and may include:
• Creating IP, means making an impact on society through knowledge valorisation;
• When you have aspirations of being an entrepreneur, you could get started by registering your ideas, inventions or work via different forms of IP protection;
• Or you are making IP available for new markets (and achieve recognition, financial rewards, or generate funding for your research group or faculty)
Why not have a drink and listen how to avoid this? We hope you will join. Please subscribe via this link:
