NEW: Searching in Espacenet

Our workshop Search in Espacenet provides you tools and insights how to use this free-to-use patent database with over 160 million of publications for different purposes. We first start with theory and switch over to practice with your own case or project or otherwise our training exercise.

There are different goals for your self-chosen topic, like:

• Check if your technical idea is new or already exists
• Find different technical solutions for ideation purposes and inspiration
• Find information as input for IP Landscaping on e.g. specific technology

By joining this workshop you’ll learn about the information you’ll find in a patent and additional information of Espacenet and how to search. We show search strategy and a search matrix and we’ll further provide you with tips & tricks.

Note: to participate it is required to bring your laptop or tablet. It is not possible to search with a smartphone and to create a sheet with a search matrix due to is small size display.
