Innovation Meets Hospital 2026 - session 4

  • Date: 08 Dec
  • Time: 15:30-17:00

The goal of this session is to narrow the gap between medtech startups and hospitals.

You will pitch your solution to a number of hospitals in the region (Máxima Medisch Centrum, Catharina Ziekenhuis, St. Anna Ziekenhuis, Elkerliek, Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis, and St. Anna Ziekenhuis).

During this session, innovation managers from these hospitals will think critically about your proposition and provide answers to questions such as the integration of systems, the collection, storage and use of data, the applicability within hospitals, etc.

The pitch should last approximately 5-10 minutes, followed by 20-25 minutes for questions and discussion. The following points may be covered during the pitch:

  • Explain the organisation: its origins, composition, etc.
  • Explain your innovation: description, stage of development, etc.
  • Outline the weaknesses and risks of your innovation.
  • Which indicators (quality/costs/workflow/other) are you focusing on?
  • Ask the hospitals 1 or 2 specific questions. Consider issues such as matching needs, involving knowledge and expertise, how it fits in, etc.
  • Make an offer. For example, to visit them.

Participating hospitals and individuals:

  1. Catharina Hospital: Jannie Heijman-van Gemert
  2. Máxima Medical Centre: Dries Steinmeijer
  3. Elkerliek: Dirk-Jan Willekens or Suzanne de Vries
  4. St. Anna Hospital: Peter van Heesch
  5. Jeroen Bosch Hospital: Narcis Suljanovic and Yvonne Smits
  6. St. Jans Gasthuis Weert: Sjoerd van Rijnsdorp
