Brainport Eindhoven is "The Home of Pioneers," and for many of the ‘pioneers’ who moved here from another country for work or to study, the Brainport Eindhoven region is their home away from home. But what makes internationals feel more at home in the region? In the new campaign, “Home is Brainport Eindhoven,” we discover a wide array of benefits of why Brainport Eindhoven feels like home to international tech talent.

Home is where the heart is

Brainport Eindhoven in The Netherlands welcomes many internationals in the tech and IT field every year. And while the main reason to move to this region is for a better job opportunity, its new inhabitants soon realize that there is more than just a job in tech in the ‘home of pioneers.’ Luckily, the region offers plenty of benefits in the checklist of these internationals, such as work-life balance, a multicultural community, no hierarchy in the workplace, cultural diversity, spouse and family support, quality of life, and more. And that helps those living and moving in the region feel more at home. 

In ‘Home is Brainport Eindhoven,’ the most recent campaign by the Talent Attraction Program from Brainport Development, invites us to discover the life of 9 internationals and their meaning of ‘home’ and what they did to make themselves feel more at home while living and working in the region. The campaign aims to introduce more people to the Brainport region as a potential place to move and settle for a longer time. By showing its unique characteristics such as work-life balance, quality of life, and family/spouse support, internationals considering a new career move will look at the region as their potential new home. And what’s better than to show by example? That’s why the new campaign features 9 internationals from diverse backgrounds and stories and their journey moving and settling in Brainport Eindhoven.
Like the saying ‘Home is where the heart is,’ for these internationals, many reasons make them feel at home in Brainport Eindhoven. From family, community, and career opportunities to the lab or the PSV stadium, every one of them has a unique story to tell with the same conclusion, Brainport Eindhoven is more than just a job in tech; it is their home.
