Tiziana Feria | Building a future, one step at a time
After moving 15 times while growing up, Tiziana knew what mattered when choosing a place to study. She wanted a city that felt lively without being overwhelming, where people were welcoming, English was widely spoken and opportunities were within easy reach. She found all of that in Brainport Eindhoven.
Originally from Uruguay, Tiziana is now studying Automotive Engineering at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. What first attracted her was the region's strong tech community and the many innovative companies nearby. But it was the welcoming atmosphere that made Brainport feel like the right place to build her future.
Finding your place
For Tiziana, studying abroad is about more than earning a degree. Through her role in the International Committee at Innovum, she helps organise events that bring international students together, from introduction activities to food festivals and karaoke evenings. Building connections with people from different cultures has become an important part of her own experience.
She also values the things that make everyday life easier: cycling through the city, feeling safe wherever she goes and living in a place that is both international and easy to navigate. Eindhoven has the opportunities of a larger city while still feeling welcoming and close-knit, making it easier to feel at home.
