Erik Dekker | Where opportunities come together
Originally from Hong Kong and raised in Spain, Erik chose Brainport Eindhoven for its internationally recognised university, English-speaking environment and strong connection to the high-tech industry. After completing his Bachelor's in Computer Science at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), he is now pursuing a Master's in Embedded Systems.
Learning by doing
For Erik, studying in Brainport means learning beyond the classroom. During his studies, he completed the TU/e Honours Academy programme, interned at ASML and is now working on his graduation project at Philips. He values the close collaboration between universities and companies, giving students the opportunity to work on real-world challenges while exploring countless career paths in the region.
Outside university, Erik enjoys the balance Brainport offers. He likes running in the green surroundings of Eindhoven and appreciates how international, accessible and easy the region is to navigate. For him, Brainport is a place full of opportunities, both during and after his studies.
