Application Engineer Bas has been working at Advantech in the Netherlands for almost two years. Fascinated by computers and technical problem-solving from an early age, he found the perfect combination of technology, customer interaction and international collaboration. His work focuses on translating existing technologies into practical solutions that help customers improve their daily operations, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Developing practical solutions
“Every project starts with understanding what the customer really needs. Together with sales and engineering, we define clear goals, develop the right solution and make sure everyone knows what to expect.”
Besides testing and validating solutions in the lab, Bas documents best practices, develops practical guides and supports colleagues through training. By sharing knowledge and creating clear processes, he helps teams work more efficiently and supports Advantech’s continued growth.

What attracted Bas to Advantech was the opportunity to develop his technical skills in an international environment. Working with colleagues from different countries and disciplines allows him to keep learning every day.
