There are numerous opportunities for your company to attract international tech and IT professionals. You have the option to recruit them via specialist recruitment agencies. However, you can also use online ads to draw the attention of a specific target group to the job opportunities within your company. In addition, you can also participate in international tech and IT career fairs or join the Brainport Talent Attraction Program. We have listed all recruitment options below. Specialized recruitment agencies

Several temporary employment and recruitment agencies are specialized in attracting and employing international tech and IT professionals. You can hire them on a temporary basis or offer a permanent job. Various large and small companies within the Brainport region can help you with the recruitment process.

Online recruitment and advertising

To be able to recruit international talent, you need to attune your communication to that specific target group. An English website, which includes the available jobs within your company, will help your potential employee to better understand what your company is about and how he or she can benefit the company. This will help you in recruiting international talent. 

For this target group to be able to find you online, you might also consider online advertising. Online advertising allows you to target a specific target group with e.g. job ads. You can either use search engine optimization (SEO) or search engine advertising (SEA). There are several agencies within the region that are specialized in SEO and SEA in combination with labor market communication.

Tip: Make sure your jobs are posted in both Dutch and English on Brainport’s (inter)national job portal.

Participation in (inter)national career fairs

Tech and IT professionals can visit several (inter)national career fairs focused on tech and IT. Furthermore, most universities also organize career days. By participating in or by being present at such career days, you can easily meet potential (inter)national employees. An example of an international career fair is the MIT European Career Fair. Several local companies together with Brainport Development will take part in this career fair, which is scheduled to take place in February of each year, in Boston. 

Recruit International students

An increasing amount of students wants to study at one of the schools located in our region. Many of them stay here after they graduate and start working for one of the companies in the Brainport region. Since the scarcity on the labor market will continue to grow now and in the future, it is important for the future of your company to attract and retain international talented tech and IT students and knowledge workers and to offer them the opportunity to grow.

Brainport Talent Attraction Program

Via the Brainport Talent Attraction Program, we attract international tech & IT talents at intermediate vocational level 4, higher vocational and scientific level for both companies and organizations located in the Brainport region. The cooperation between regional employers makes it a powerful program. The program consists of the basic activities below, which are meant for all employers in the region, and any additional activities for companies that have a specific question.

  • To cluster all English tech and IT jobs on the job portal of Brainport Eindhoven's international website for international talent. 
  • Regional branding through online campaigns to attract international talent via Brainport Eindhoven's international website.
  • To enhance the regional network of HR professionals via thematic meetings and newsletters.

Additional activities Brainport Talent Attraction Program

In addition to the activities that are meant for all employers in Brainport Eindhoven, Brainport Development also offers a number of additional options for employers that specifically focus on talent attraction. A financial contribution is required if you wish to make use of one of these options, which include:

  • The Brainport traineeship program
    This program matches Spanish and Italian tech and IT students and graduates with companies from the region that offer traineeship programs.
