How do you use data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in practice within the Smart Industry domain?
During the third edition of the Data Week Den Bosch IT Circle Nederland will organize a webinar together with Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS), Data Value Center Smart Industry (DVC-SI). For this event they will use the newly founded consortium program CERTIF-AI as an example of how Smart Industry will be brought into practice. The CERTIF-AI program is created around a consortium of academic and industrial partners who will collaborate in the coming four years to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI) toolkit, consisting of algorithms and methods, for industrial applications.

We are honored to announce the following speakers for this online event:
Boudewijn van Dongen – Full Professor at TU/e, chair Process Analytics group Production will go into detail how processes can be made ‘smarter’ by exploiting the data streams that are generated by production equipment and other machines. Combining the fields of operations research, process mining and artificial intelligence, the CERTIF-AI project.
Tim Foreman, European R&D Manager at Omron, an industrial automation solutions provider and part of the consortium is working on providing new technologies such as our AI-Controller and implementing new (data science) techniques in their factories. Their target is to add the new techniques in their high-mix low volume factory and portfolio for better time-to-market, reduced test effort and improved process quality in their target customer’s factories.
Tiberiu Muntean – Program Director of the JADS PDEng program. The Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) program is a two-year post-master technological designer program. In this session real life industrial cases that have been carried out by JADS PDEng trainees will be presented. They will also show their approach to design implementable solutions for the CERTIF-AI project that is to unlock the potential benefit of Artificial Intelligence for industrial use.
Nikhil Podduturi - Head of Data Science and Engineering at DAF and member of the IT Circle community will enrich this session with their practical knowledge and experience on process mining, use of IoT from their machines and other data generated to build a data stack. Finding new ways to stay ahead, in control and to gain new insights for applications like predictive maintenance.
